Peddlers, Solicitors & Transient Merchants

Definitions
  • Peddlers are those who go from place to place selling or attempting to sell goods that they are carrying or otherwise transporting.
  • Solicitors are those who go from place to place obtaining or attempting to obtain orders for goods and/or services to be delivered at a later date. This also applies to those that are canvassing.
  • Transient Merchants are those who temporarily set up business out of any type of temporary shelter or vehicle.

Application
To apply for a license, please complete the Peddlers, Solicitors and Transient Merchants License Application (PDF), an informed consent for each individual working for your business in North St. Paul (included in packet), and return them with the appropriate attachments and fee.
