The North St. Paul Area Food Shelf is a nonprofit organization which serves families living in North St. Paul and Oakdale.
Your donations are always welcomed and non-perishable items may be dropped off at North St. Paul City Hall, Anchor Bank, and the North St. Paul Area Food Shelf.
The food shelf will start serving clients on Wednesday evenings and are in need of volunteers for the evening hours. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: pack groceries, assist the clients at the door, pull inventory and restock the shelves. Packing groceries would be done about 4:30 to 5:30, assisting clients at the door would run from 5:00 to 6:30, and restocking would be from 5:00 to 6:00. The City of Maplewood has a food shelf serving Maplewood residents located at the Salvation Army Lakewood Church (2080 Woodlynn Avenue). They offer emergency assistance to Maplewood residents on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants must call 651-779-9177 a day ahead to make an appointment.
