If you live on 13th Ave:
The contractor is installing sod in the remaining areas from last year's project. Please do not mow the sod during the 30-day maintenance period as this may void the contractor's warranty and prevent optimal growth. After the contractor's 30-day maintenance period is completed, sod care is the responsibility of the resident or business owner.
Please see the link for sod lawn care after the contractor's 30-day maintenance period.

June 24, 2022
Construction along 13th Ave. E., 14th Ave. E., Spirit Hills and Flanders is mostly complete.
Due to the hot weather conditions, the City’s contractors will stabilize any lawn disruptions with temporary mulch. Crews will return in late August or early September to install sod or seed in the area.
Residents who live on Flanders should be able to stop using the temporary mailboxes, and instead use your home’s permanent mailbox, starting this Friday (6/24).
Xcel Energy will be in the area to make some repairs from their work in the area.
Residents who live along Ariel Street would likely be switched over to temporary mailboxes early next week (possibly Monday), and the contractor or mail carrier would be in contact with residents. Ariel Street (from the cul-de-sac to County Road C) is scheduled to be reclaimed Tuesday (6/28) or Wednesday (6/29) next week. Ariel Street would remain open, but please allow yourself extra time to maneuver around the reclaiming machine. There will be NO PARKING anytime permitted along Ariel Street.
Week of June 14
Residents who live on Flanders Rd.
A friendly reminder that the contractor is planning to pave the first layer of pavement (6/14). They are planning to begin paving operations at 10 am. If you need to leave in the morning, it is recommended that you leave before 9 am to allow the crew extra time. If you must drive on Flanders Rd. during paving operations, please allow yourself extra time due to expected delays. The contractor will maintain access to your home, but we ask you to minimize any unnecessary trips during paving operations. Once pavement is rolled (flattened), it is okay to drive on. Paving operations should only take a few hours.
All of our work is dependent on the weather and our schedules may change.
Residents who live on Ariel St.
The contractor will need to CLOSE Ariel Street from the cul-de-sac to 9th Ave. when they begin replacing the watermain this Wednesday (6/15). The street closure should last approximately 3 weeks. There will still be No Parking Anytime permitted Monday – Friday along Ariel St. from the closure at 9th Ave. to 11th Ave., and vehicles will likely be towed if they do not follow these restrictions. The intersection of Ariel St. and 9th Ave. would remain open. Emergency services have been made aware of this closure. If there is a situation pertaining to the watermain replacement, which requires immediate attention, please contact Juan at (763) 221-0438.

City contractors are planning to begin milling the pavement (a process where the top couple of inches of blacktop is removed) on June 2, and paving on June 3. They will begin working along 13th Ave. E., 14th Ave. E. and Spirit Hills Drive. Contractors will work to provide access to residents, but we ask there be no on-street parking while they are milling or paving. Once the pavement is rolled, which occurs immediately after paving, it will be a drivable surface so minimal disruption to residents is anticipated. Both milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin at 7 am and take most of the day. Please plan some additional time to account for potential minor delays, and please plan to not leave any cars parked on the roadway on June 2 or 3 until after paving is complete.
A reminder to please have your house number on your garbage bins, in case the contractor needs to move your garbage bin then they can return it to the correct house.
Milling on Flanders Road is scheduled for June 3, and then the contractor will begin removals. Please do not leave any parked cars on the street during milling operations. In preparation for construction, please write your house number on a piece of duct tape with a permanent marker, or on a piece of paper and tape it to the lid of your bin in case the Contractor needs to move your garbage bin temporarily, then they can ensure it is placed next to the correct house. It is recommended to use clear tape over your house number if you use a piece of paper to help protect it from the elements. This will be helpful for the duration of the street improvement project.

Important Information about your garbage service during construction
For residents along 13th Ave, Spirit Hills Ln, and 14th Ave, your garbage will be collected on your regular pickup day during construction. The Contractor will provide access to the neighborhood for garbage trucks for pickup.
The Contractor may need to move garbage bins around on 14th Ave and potentially on 13th Ave and Spirit Hills Lane if it conflicts with their operations. Please write your house number on a piece of duct tape with a permanent marker, or on a piece of paper and tape it to the lid of your bin in case the Contractor needs to temporarily move your garbage bin. This will ensure it is placed next to the correct house.
We recommend you use clear tape over your house number if you use a piece of paper to help protect it from the elements.
This will be helpful for the duration of the street improvement project.
Thank you for your assistance.
