A Demolition Permit is required for the demolition of a residential structure or garage, and for commercial building demolition or remodeling.
The City of North St. Paul enforces state and county standards for proper management and disposal of:
hazardous building components
related hazardous waste
from scheduled demolition sites. This also includes materials and waste from residential properties that would be considered household hazardous wastes and are eligible for disposal at the Ramsey county Household Hazardous Waste sites.
The Ramsey County Department of Public Health will perform random inspections of demolition sites to assure all hazardous wastes have been removed from the structure and properly disposed of before any demolition may start.
