This will only be the 5th nomination primary in the State’s history. Although there is a presidential primary, there will still be caucuses for other offices. The City of North St. Paul will have two city council offices on the November ballot in 2020. The City of North St. Paul does not hold a city primary election, only a city general election. You will be able to make application for an absentee ballot at City Hall or via the website at www.mnvotes.org or https://www.ramseycounty.us/residents/elections-voting.
New this year: The City of North St. Paul will only accept applications for absentee ballots. The City will then forward the applications to Ramsey County. The City of North St. Paul will NOT accept any absentee ballots here at City Hall. All completed ballots must be either mailed or delivered to Ramsey County. There is no longer any actual absentee voting or early voting conducted at City Hall.
Ramsey County conducts “in person” absentee voting for the City of North St. Paul, and there will not be “in person” early voting taking place at the North St. Paul City Hall. Instead, there will be ten (10) county operated remote early voting locations for the state primary and the state general election. The locations will be posted on the City website and in the lobby of City Hall.
