Commercial lighting rebates available

The City of North St. Paul offers a variety of rebates to commercial and industrial customers when they purchase and install energy-efficient products. Participating in the We Save Business program can help improve your bottom line by saving energy and money with the following rebates:

• Lighting Retrofit Rebate – Customers can earn rebates for replacing old, inefficient lighting with new energy-efficient lighting. Rebate prices vary by fixture, see rebate form for details and fill out a Pre-Rebate Worksheet to get an estimated rebate.View the 2023 Commercial LED Rebate Guide Here.

• Lighting New Construction Rebate – Customers can earn rebates for installing energy-efficient lighting in new construction projects or major renovations of existing structures. Rebate prices vary by fixture, see the rebate form for details and fill out a Pre-Rebate Worksheet to get an estimated rebate.

• Variable Frequency Drive Rebate – Customers can earn a rebate for installing a new VFD on an HVAC system, including fans and pumps. Rebate is $40 per hp.

• Custom Rebate – Customers can earn a Custom Rebate when they purchase and install energy-efficient equipment or take other measures to reduce their energy consumption. The key is energy savings. Examples of custom projects include:

  • High volume low speed fan
  • Commercial food service equipment
  • High-efficiency chiller
  • Fast acting doors
  • Rooftop AC unit
  • VFD greater than 200 hp
  • Air compressor, air leak detection
  • Evaporator fan motor retrofit
  • Refrigeration technologies
  • Anti-sweat heat control
  • Assistance achieving Green Building Certification and SB2030 Standards

Custom Rebates must be pre-approved. Contact the City of North St. Paul at 651-747-2413  to find out if your project qualifies.
