Historical Society

  1. Historical Society Monthly Gathering - Cancelled

    April 28, 2020, 7:00 PM @ Historical Society Museum

Our April speaker will be Dr. Jeremy Neinow. Dr. Neinow is an archeologist consultant and educator. He has worked for the past five years studying areas in Ramsey County including Fish Creek and Lake Vadnais. For the first half hour, Dr. Neinow will give a summary of recent archeologist surveying of Ramsey County and the insight that brings into Native American life in the last 2,000 years. For the last part of the program attendees are invited to bring in objects and artifacts they may have found in their yards or anywhere in Ramsey County, for Dr. Neinow to identify. The objects MUST be from Ramsey County. We encourage you to bring artifacts for identification. The Historical Society hosts monthly gatherings featuring guest speakers on the fourth Tuesday of the month starting at 7:00 p.m. Monthly gatherings do not take place in November, December and during the summer months.
